Lecturer of Business Communication

Amy Young’s research focuses on the synergies between positive organizational practices and digital communication technology. Her interests in positive organizational practices emerged when she recognized that they held the gate key to thriving online employee collaboration, knowledge sharing, and generalized reciprocity. Since then she has worked with companies to help them realize that digital collaboration within organizations is a little bit about the technology and all about the people. Her more recent work explores positive organizational communication at the dyad, group, and organizational level.
She is a business communications faculty member at the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business. She received her PhD in psychology from the University of Michigan.
