Related Research Interests

Broadly speaking, my research focuses on how the temporal and relational elements of organizations shape people’s experiences, work, and personal development. In the relevant area of relationships, I have two ongoing collaborative projects. First, I explore how protégés can become self-authoring through interactions with their multiple developers. Second, I consider how front line employees’ interactions with clients may drive them to voice upward. My research suggests that organizations can help people grow and work effectively by creating conditions that foster and support high quality relationships (e.g., with clients and with mentors).
