Corporate Relations and Communications Specialist

Hitomi Katsumi returns to the Center for Positive Organizations as the corporate relations and communications specialist, bringing an extensive background in event planning and communications. She previously served as the Center’s events and partner relations specialist, supporting the Positive Organizations Consortium and CPO events. In between her CPO roles, she held various leadership roles in the fields of Positive Psychology and Positive Organizational Scholarship such as the world congress events lead and communications lead for the International Positive Psychology Association’s Positive Health and Wellness Division and the board member for Japan Positive Psychology Association. Most recently, she was the senior events coordinator at the University of Michigan’s Center for Research on Learning and Teaching.
Hitomi is passionate about sharing POS research and she can be found reading research articles in her free time. She also enjoys performing in music ensembles and currently plays flute and piccolo in the U-M Life Sciences Orchestra.
