Associate Director of Communications
Center for Positive Organizations
Katie is responsible for creating and executing the Center for Positive Organization’s brand-strengthening marketing communications plan. The plan supports center-wide objectives around student engagement, donor growth, increasing the external visibility and application of CPO’s work, and maintaining CPO’s research preeminence as the academic home of the field of Positive Organizational Scholarship.
Katie brings 20 years of experience in marketing communications, branding, graphic design, social media strategy, event coordination, program management, and funding communications to this role. She has worked at the University of Michigan for 15+ years, with communications positions at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, the Graham Institute, and the study abroad office.
Katie earned her BA in advertising from Michigan State University and her master’s in integrated marketing communications from Eastern Michigan University. An Ann Arbor native, Katie lives near Cobblestone Farm with her husband, two kids, two cats, and a speckled dog named Juniper.
