Center for Positive Organizations

Stacey Scimeca is a student community builder. She designs and nourishes student communities that immerse students in the practice and science of thriving. She creates and facilitates student events with scholars and business leaders, recruits and selects student cohorts, and supports and coaches students and alumni as they translate theory into action. She does this work through two primary roles. She leads the +LAB, a co-curricular program that brings together a community of undergraduate and graduate students. She also serves as Head Coach and Program Manager of the Magnify Immersion Program, a six-credit undergraduate academic program.

Stacey brings her previous experiences in event production, student selection, volunteer training, and first year student mentorship through her work in higher education programming and content creation and data analytics through her work in digital marketing. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in psychology and minors in Community Action and Social Change and Business.

Stacey has been a part of CPO’s community for nearly a decade, including her time as a student in the inaugural cohort of the +LAB, which she now has the privilege of leading. Beyond cheering on students through their change agent journey, you’ll find Stacey frequenting Ypsilanti coffee shops and libraries, traveling around the state for live music, and playing volleyball with friends.
