Sophia Savas

Sophia is a current sophomore from Bloomfield, Michigan in the BBA program and getting a minor in Community Action and Social Change. She was initially drawn to the Center for Positive Organizations through its Magnify Immersion program.

After 7 intense weeks immersed in the research and practices of POS, she couldn’t wait to discover how to stay involved. She is excited to be a part of the +Lab community and to grow my capacity for positive leadership. She loves the practice of building high functioning organizations starting with the prioritization and support of individual well-being. She is most excited for the chance to advocate the value of helping others reach their full potential.

Her passion for people can also be seen in her involvement on campus. She enjoys connecting with people, singing, and dancing at assisted living facilities in Ann Arbor with her community service based performance club. She also works to provide higher quality student recreation and union spaces by participating in a club that works on renovation design and fundraising plans for these places.

She loves cooking on holidays for her big family celebrations, traveling out west to ski in the winter, and watching Big Ten basketball. She grew up in Bloomfield, Michigan, and has learned that the best way to spend a summer day is on a lake.
