CPO issues call for submissions for the 2016 Positive Business Project competition

The Center for Positive Organizations at the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business has issued a call for submissions for its 2016 Positive Business Project competition, an annual contest celebrating organizations that deliver change through positive business practices. Organizations of all sizes and industries are invited to share success stories about how they create economic value, how they bring out the best in people’s performance and humanity, or how they address important societal and environmental issues, needs, and opportunities.

The Positive Business Project contest consists of two rounds, with recognition going to semi-finalists, five finalists, and one grand prize winner at the Positive Business Conference, May 12-13, 2016 in Ann Arbor, MI.

  • Semi-finalists will be selected as a representation of inspiring and practical positive business practices. All semi-finalists will be featured in the Positive Practices Handbook distributed to all Positive Business Conference attendees.
  • The top five finalists will be invited to a second round learning interview with a panel of judges affiliated with the Center for Positive Organizations and should submit a video showcasing their positive practices. The finalist videos will be shared with all Positive Business Conference attendees.
  • The grand prize winner will be announced at the Positive Business Conference.

Submissions for the first round of this competition are due on February 15, 2016 at 11:59 PM EST. The initial application requires entrants answer three simple questions regarding a positive practice their organization implemented, the results it generated, and lessons learned from the process.
