Gretchen Spreitzer, Donald Peurach teach MOOC about ambitious teaching and learning

February 8, 2017

Two members of the Center for Positive Organizations community – Faculty Director Gretchen Spreitzer and Faculty Associate Donald Peurach – are course instructors for a new massive open online course (MOOC) from the University of Michigan, titled “Leading Ambitious Teaching and Learning.”

The free course examines the significance of ambitious instruction, and how technology and media support its implementation. Students learn to use leadership strategies to inspire and support positive change.

It’s the first step in a five-course MicroMasters credential in Leading Educational Innovation and Improvement, which supports educators who seek to advance ambitious instruction in classrooms on a large scale.

Over 6,000 students are enrolled in the course, with most enrollees from the U.S., India, Canada, UK, and Brazil, respectively. 169 total regions are represented.
