Dave Mayer spoke with Crain’s Detroit on business ethics

May 1, 2017

Dave Mayer spoke on business ethics in “The challenge of ethics: Instill a healthy corporate culture so associates meet goals honestly, experts say” for Crain’s Detroit.

The article responded to recent corporate ethics breaches such as Wells Fargo & Co., and Mayer highlights the importance of employee culture to stave off corporate ethical breaches. “High goals embedded in an ethical culture are much less likely to lead to a bad result,” he told Crain’s Detroit.  Managers need to address both behavior and results and reward employees who speak out against bad choices and behaviors.

Mayer is a core faculty member at the Center for Positive Organizations. His research focuses on ethical behavior and how organizations can impact employees’ (un)ethical conduct.
