February 5, 2016
In her February U.S. News & World Report Health post, “Why February is the best time to recalibrate your New Year’s resolutions,” Michelle Segar explains why “you didn’t fail last month – you researched what works for you.”
Segar discusses the reasons “resolutions crash so quickly” and why (and how) February is the perfect month to recalibrate and adjust expectations. She suggests weighing resolutions against five factors, and adjusting if needed.
Segar is the director of the Sport, Health, and Activity Research and Policy Center at the University of Michigan and a CPO faculty affiliate. She has also authored a new book, No Sweat: How the Simple Science of Motivation Can Bring You a Lifetime of Fitness.
