Dr. Amy Young is a teaching professor within the business communications department at Ross School of Business and holds an adjunct research professor position in the radiology department of Michigan Medicine. She currently serves on the Strategic Advisory Board for CPO and previously was the faculty director for its consortium.
Dr. Young is an expert in leadership communication, relational energy, and positive organizational culture. Her scholarship focuses on how leaders support employees’ well-being while also driving organizational performance. Her recent research highlights the role of positive leadership communication and organizational culture in reducing both burnout and employee turnover in the healthcare sector.  She also works directly with industry leaders to help them measure the impact of employee well-being initiatives on individual and team productivity.
Amy received her PhD in psychology from the University of Michigan and a BA in human development & social relations from Earlham College.
