David Drews

David Drews is Founder and CEO of Justus Equity, LLC. Justus Equity provides expertise on how employee ownership can be successfully structured to drive sustained long term business growth which fully aligns employee interests with corporate interests. In short, owning “a piece of the rock” is a tremendous motivator that creates real value and, when properly implemented, can create “a larger pie” which benefits everyone in the organization.

Drews has been utilizing the tenets of Positive Organizational Scholarship (POS) for three decades. He has seen first hand how POS creates influence and alignment from respect, rather than influence only from a position of authority. He understands integrity is an integral ingredient of effective leadership. Creating a secure interdependent environment of respect, gratitude, genuine compassion, and mutual success has resulted in tremendous growth in the organizations with which he has been involved.

Drews was formerly Executive Vice President, CFO, and a Board Member of Project: WorldWide, an international marketing agency. He has an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BA from Michigan State University. He is also a CPA. He is a member of the Private Directors Association and ESCA (the S Corp ESOP Association). He is a Board member of Karmanos Cancer Institute as well as The Judson Center, a social services agency serving greater Detroit, and is working with C2BE to broaden the adoption and benefits of employee ownership in Detroit and the surrounding area.
