David P. Fessell

David Fessell, author of numerous peer reviewed radiology publications, is a creativity consultant, executive coach, and Professor of Radiology at the University of Michigan. He also co-Directs the Leadership curriculum for medical students at the University of Michigan.
Fessell presents internationally on musculoskeletal radiology topics and consults with a variety of collaborators in academics and industry. His work in the field of creativity blends psychology, improv, neuroscience and imaging studies with the goal of helping individuals and groups unlock their creative potential. He was recently interviewed on NPR.
He is interested in integrating principles of Positive Organizational Scholarship with creativity studies and executive coaching to help individuals thrive and flourish. His work with Leadership Development at the University of Michigan Medical School infuses elements of Positive Psychology with the goal of helping future physicians flourish while having a deep and very positive impact on medicine and the world.
Fessell has an MD degree from the University of Michigan and a BA from Harvard University.
