Doug Lepisto is assistant professor of management in the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University. His expertise centers on how leaders create high performance organizations through people and strategy, with particular attention to the role of meaningful work, organizational purpose, and ritual.

Of late, he is exploring how gatherings impact organizations. His teaching and research has received several awards and has appeared in top management journals, including Administrative Science Quarterly and Organizational Psychology Review. He regularly gives talks based on his research to academics and executives, and has been invited to speak at companies such as Google.
