Eun Bit Hwang

Eun Bit Hwang, PhD is a Lecturer in Management and Organizations at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

Eun Bit’s research explores the ways organization members can break free from objectifying exchange relationships and instead experience human encounter at work. Her scholarship encourages us to revisit how we have thought about human existence and relationality in work contexts. She navigates her research questions primarily through qualitative research methods. Her scholarship has been honored with the University of Michigan’s CEW+ Scholar Award for its potential to make a meaningful impact on local and global communities.

Beyond her research, Eun Bit is a dedicated educator. She teaches Business & Leaders: The Positive Difference, a core course for sophomores in the BBA program. Previously, she taught Behavioral Theory in Management, a core BBA course for juniors.

Eun Bit graduated with honors from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and holds a Master of Arts degree in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. She received her PhD in Management and Organizations from the University of Michigan.
