2022 Academy of Management Annual Meeting
This breakfast experience organized by the Center for Positive Organizations gathers together the community of scholars applying the concepts and theories in the field of Positive Organizational Scholarship (POS) in their research.
Please, join us for the POS gathering to build community, connect with research collaborators, learn about new developments in the field, and generate energy about the possibilities created by using the POS lens.
Cultivating Community in Research & Practice
“There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what is cares about” – Margret J Wheatley
At this year’s POS breakfast gathering, we look forward to gathering together again as a community in practice. We also take the opportunity to explore community in research terms. Our breakfast co-hosts will approach the AOM Meeting theme of “Creating A Better World Together” by exploring what it means to come together and consider the power embedded within communities. Cultivating a sense of community takes time as we curate shared experiences and deepen the quality of shared relationships. However, the changing nature of work and the impact of the COVID pandemic limits the time we spend together and challenges our ability to cultivate a sense of community. Join us, as we re-connect in-person to explore the opportunities and challenges in fostering a sense of community in our lives, workplaces, and classrooms. Together, we’ll explore how a swift sense of community can be cultivated, creating the social glue that can awaken collectives to create a better world together.

While the listing is not exhaustive, the search words used to identify the sessions are listed on the same line as the session number. We hope the compilation of this year’s POS-related sessions will be a helpful start to identifying sessions of interest.)
