Jane Dutton, Robert L. Kahn Distinguished University Professor of Business Administration and Psychology, University of Michigan

This session invites you to engage the critical topic of compassion at work.  Through a combination of lecture, reflection, and discussion, we will consider how compassion matters in work organizations, the conditions that foster compassion, as well as dilemmas of compassion at work.  The session will feature research findings on compassion at work, but will also focus on practical ideas for how to encourage compassion at work.  Based on my 12 years of research on compassion working with CompassionLab I hope to unlock new possibilities for imagining and facilitating compassion in work organizations.
