Mark Miller and Kenyatta Brame testified before the Michigan Law and Justice Committee in Lansing on the rehabilitation and employment of individuals who have served time in prison. Cascade Engineering, member of the Positive Organizations Consortium, is leading the way on social justice and change.
Brame and Miller spoke on Cascade’s belief in the community and the importance of redemption for citizens, that there is a need for both compassion and retraining for those who have been incarcerated. According to Miller, “Some people [employ returning citizens] because it feels good and some because it helps the bottom line. We want to prove both.” “We believe in second chances,” said Brame.
