How can you reclaim your commute? Julia Lee explains in Harvard Business Review

May 19, 2017

Julia Lee, postdoctoral fellow for the Center for Positive Organizations, co-authored a Harvard Business Review article, “Reclaim Your Commute.”

The authors state that many workers are miserable commuting and say it’s time to reclaim your commute. They outline five strategies to create a happier, more productive travel time such as using the time to shift from personal to professional mindset; engaging in “productive planning—what we call, work-related prospection”; creating rituals, or communicating with others.

This research article was also shared in Cambridge News.

Lee’s research focuses on the motivation of employees to reach their full potential, largely by promoting productive, healthy, and honest behavior in organizations. She will join the Michigan Ross faculty (in Management and Organizations) in summer 2017.
