Jane Dutton cited in Harvard Business Review
February 21, 2019
Jane Dutton’s research was cited in the Harvard Business Review article, “What to Do When You Realize You’ve Made a Mistake.” The article uses Dutton’s research on “identity claiming” to explain why people feel their self-identity is threatened when they find out they’re wrong, especially in situations where others are involved in the discovery.
Dutton is a co-founder of the Center for Positive Organizations, and the Robert L. Kahn Distinguished University Emerita Professor of Business Administration and Psychology at the University of Michigan.
