Jessica Amortegui, from Positive Organizations Consortium member company Logitech, wrote about the role or empathy for Forbes’ Women@Forbes initiative, “Are You Using Apple’s Secret Skill At Work?

This article cited multiple research studies on the role of empathy in the workplace. Amortegui explained how caring about and understanding others creates benefits for both employees and organizations. The positive culture and benefits are then contrasted with studies on fairness, burnout, and “unknowing self-sabotage.” Amortegui concluded that empathy (trust and vulnerability) creates an overall sense of optimism and well-being.
