Lea Waters, faculty affiliate with the Center for Positive Organizations, was interviewed for the Herald Sun in, How to make your kids more resilient and build up their strengths.”

The article discussed Waters’ new book, The Strength Switchwhere she says parents should build resilience in children by focusing on strengths. Engaging a child’s positive traits and activities is kind and constructs a “valuable counterbalance” to the natural inclination to want to correct weaknesses.

Waters’ research examines the intersection between Positive Organizational Scholarship and educational psychology with a focus on how to create schools as positive institutions.
