February 12, 2020
Wayne Baker chats with Marker about his research in the article “Why Asking for Help Is a Surprisingly Powerful Business Skill.”
The interview touches on Baker’s years of research experience, daily workplace practices to build the asking muscle, and insights from his recently published book All You Have To Do Is Ask: How to Master the Most Important Skill for Success.
“I often counsel people to not prejudge other people’s abilities or their willingness to help because you never know what people know, or who they know, until you ask,” Baker says.
Baker is the Center for Positive Organizations (CPO) faculty director and Robert P. Thome Professor of Business; Professor of Management and Organizations; Professor of Sociology.
