December 7, 2016
In an article on Medium, Scott Sonenshein explored the value of reimagining gift-giving. He discussed how spending less, but creating more can bring greater joy both to givers and receivers. By personalizing gifts, he indicates, we add more value to what is being given. An additional benefit of this is the reducing the stress of having to find and purchase gifts.
Scott Sonenshein is a member of the Faculty Research Advisory Board at the Center for Positive Organizations and professor of management at the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University. He is the author of the forthcoming book, Stretch, which explores how to make more of less in a variety of ways.
