April 2, 2018

A recent Forbes op-ed, “The Reciprocity Ring: When Giving At Work Becomes An Act Not A Check,” explains the theory behind and usefulness of the Reciprocity Ring. The Reciprocity Ring, developed by Wayne Baker, Cheryl Baker, and Adam Grant is the idea of both asking for and giving help to create a culture of giving.

Baker is Robert P. Thome Professor of Business and Faculty Director of the CPO Consortium. His research interests include energy networks in organizations, generosity and reciprocity, and values.

Grant is a member of the Center for Positive Organization’s Advisory Board and the Class of 1965 Wharton Professor of Management and professor of Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania.
