David Mayer, Chen Zhang, and Eun Bit Hwang’s new research on learning was reported by Safety and Health Magazine, “Learning something new could help lower on the job stress.” According to the article, “workers who sought on-the-job learning opportunities combated stress more effectively than workers who participated in relaxing activities.”

Mayer is a core faculty member at the Center for Positive Organizations and an associate professor at Michigan Ross. His research focuses on how organizations can create environments that promote ethical behavior.

Zhang is a doctoral affiliate with the Center for Positive Organizations and PhD candidate in Management and Organizations. Her research interests are workplace energy and well-being.

Hwang is a doctoral affiliate with the Center for Positive Organizations and PhD student in Management and Organizations. Her research builds on how organizations and individuals can thrive together.
