An introduction to happiness in organizations

Abstract:
The “third pillar” of positive psychology is the study of positive institutions. Positive organizational scholarship (POS) is an organizational response to positive psychology, in that the use of “positive” in the label of POS declares an orientation toward exceptional and life-giving phenomena. The chapters in this section advance POS by illuminating organizational factors and processes that are closely associated with the happiness and well-being of employees. Topics include collective virtuousness, work design, psychological capital, positive identity, and executive well-being.
